I'm Back

Posted on Thursday September 19th, 2013 @ 3:51am by Captain Peter Gardner

Hello everyone,

First off can I thank you all for your patience over the last few weeks. My niece, Issey, had the brain tumor removed and following the results of a biopsy it was found the tumor was cancerous, called Meduloblastoma, which is a highly aggressive cancer. She now has to undergo at least 42 weeks of chemo and radioteherapy to ensure all the cancerous cells are destroyed.

I am now returning to the game, that I hope beyond anything hasn't died. I am looking forward to returning to the game, as it will provide me with some escapism from what is gong on in my real life.

Can you all comment on this post to let me know you are still around.

Thanks guys again for your patience!

Bobby

Still here!

Sorry to hear about your niece, but as my wife is a cancer survivor, I can tell you it can be done. Lean on friends and family and don't try to carry the load yourself. And, as you mentioned, do some writing to work out some stress. Don't worry too much about the game; it's only a game after all, and family comes first.

Glad you're back!

I'm here, and I'm ready to rock! I'm excited to be with the Excelsior for this leg of her historic journey!

Very much still here and waiting for you to come for your exam!

And, as the Master Chief says, life, especially family takes priority, so don't worry. We will do what we can to keep things ticking over.

Good to have you back though Bobby. Missed you!
